(ORAL) Learned State counsel apprises the Court that the representation as moved by the petitioner to the police authorities on 07.06.2021 has been filed as he (petitioner) failed to appear before the said authorities to record his statement in connection thereof.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks the permission to withdraw the instant petition, while submitting that the petitioner would be moving a fresh representation to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga, exclusively praying therein for the protection of his own as well as his family members' lives and liberty. He further prays that the said respondent be directed to take appropriate action on the said representation of the petitioner within some specific time frame.

Learned State counsel has no objection for the same. SEEMA SHARMA 2021.08.31 21:13 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP No.4995 of 2021 ...2..

Resultantly, the petition in hand stands dismissed for having been withdrawn, with the observations that in case, the petitioner moves any fresh representation to respondent No.3 specifically restricting his prayer therein to the protection of his own as well as his family members' lives and liberty only, then the said respondent shall look into the same and if the petitioner as well as his family members would be found to be genuinely deserving the protection of their lives and liberty, then he would take appropriate action strictly in accordance with law, in the given set of facts and circumstances of the matter, preferably within a period of fifteen days thereafter.
