Prayer in the present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for issuance of directions to respondents No.1 to 5 to hand over investigation of FIR No.34 dated 25.01.2013 registered under Sections 498A, 406, 323, 324, 506, 379 and 120-B IPC at Police Station Sector 5, Panchkula, to CBI/respondent No.6 or some independent agency or senior IPS officer outside the State of Haryana; and for issuance of directions to respondents No.1 to 5 to take all necessary requisite steps in performance of their duties so that dowry articles as well as valuable belongings of Megha Rana daughter of petitioner, can be recovered from the accused by arresting them.

Petitioner before this Court is the complainant. Daughter of the complainant was married to respondent No.7 herein. Respondent No.8 is the father-in-law, respondent No.9 is the mother-inSUNENA 2024.03.18 17:57 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

At the very outset, learned State Counsel on instructions submits that prayer in the present petition is that fair and independent investigation be carried out in the FIR. It is submitted that present petition has been rendered infructuous as after investigation, challan has been presented only against respondent No.7/husband; and respondents No.8 to 11 have been exonerated. It is stated that extradition proceedings have also been initiated against respondent No.7.

In view of the above statement made on behalf of learned State Counsel, learned counsel for the petitioner admits that by way of present petition a fair investigation was sought into the FIR and now investigation stands complete and nothing survives in the present petition and the same may be disposed of as such.
