**** MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (Oral) Due to the outbreak of pandemic COVID-19, the instant case is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing. Prayer in the instant petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for directing the official respondent No. 3 to conduct fair and impartial investigation of the matter or call the status report in case FIR No. 285, dated 21.12.2019 (Annexure P-1), registered under Section 376 IPC at Police Station Khrar, District SAS Nagar Mohali. Besides, a further prayer has been made to direct respondent No.3 to take action against respondents No. 5 to 8 and decide the complaint dated 11th March, 2020 (Annexure P-4) of the petitioner. A further prayer has also been made for directing respondent No.2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondents No.5 to 8.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Luvinder Sofat, AAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents (State). Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, if the petition is disposed off with a direction to the official respondent No.3 to look into the complaint dated 11th March, 2020 (Annexure P-1) and take appropriate action.

In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner, the petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.3, to look into the complaint dated 11th March, 2020 (Annexure P-1) and take necessary steps, if any required, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within two months, from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order.
