ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C seeking directions to official respondents to protect the life and liberty of petitioners, their family members as they apprehend threat at the hands of respondents No.5 to 14. Further prayer has been made to hand over the investigation of case i.e DDR No.19 dated 14.06.2018 (Annexure P-2) to some independent investigating agency or CBI.

On a Court query with regard to investigation in the case in question, learned State counsel on instructions submits that challan was filed way back, charges were framed and trial has already commenced. Out of 23 witnesses, 09 have already been examined.

In view thereof, prayer for handing over investigation to CBI or any other independent investigating agency, is rendered infructuous as not only investigation is complete but 2/3rd trial has also taken place. 4.

Disposed of.
