Through this petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C., petitioners, namely; Raj Singh and Rajesh @ Disa, have prayed for grant of regular bail in case FIR No. 1201 dated 27.12.2017 registered under Sections 148, 149, 323, 452 and 506 IPC (Sections 325 and 307 IPC added later on) at Police Station Chandnibagh, District Panipat.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that the complainant and the victim have compromised the matter with the petitioners and they have sworn-in affidavits dated 24.05.2018 (Annexures P-2 and P-3, respectively) in this regard. The petitioners are in custody since 17.05.2018. Conclusion of trial may take a long time. No useful purpose would be served by detaining the petitioners in jail. 3.
On the other hand, learned State vehemently opposed the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner. 4.
