0 1 ' ( is praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing of the merit list (Annexure P-8) which was uploaded on website on 29.06.2020, whereby the candidature of the petitioner was rejected. 2.
A perusal of merit list (Annexure P-8) would show that the candidature of the petitioner was not considered for appointment on the ground that the petitioner (listed at Sr. No.18) had submitted B.A. Degree done in 2012 from CMJ University, Meghalaya and as per order No.EDN/CC/18/2013/PT.1/16 dated 31.03.2014 issued by the Government of Meghalaya, the Government was pleased to order the dissolution of CMJ University with the immediate effect. As such, the candidature of the petitioner was rejected.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that dissolution of CMJ University has been upheld by Hon'ble the Supreme Court and the review petition No.13271/2025 in CA No.9694/2024 filed in the said case, pertaining to the fate of the students, has been disposed of on 09.12.2025. Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions from the petitioner, submits that in light of the order dated 09.12.2025 passed by Hon'ble the Supreme Court in abovesaid review petition, he does not want to press the present petition, however, liberty may be granted to the petitioner to pursue the remedy before the appropriate forum, in accordance with law.

In view of above, the present writ petition is disposed of as not pressed with the liberty, as prayed for.
