Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the police has filed a cancellation report in the Court of JMIC, Phagwara, where the present petitioner has appeared and filed protest petition on 2.3.2020. However, that petition has not been decided so far. It being so, the present petition has become infructuous and is dismissed accordingly.

However, in view of the concern expressed by learned counsel for the petitioner, the trial Magistrate is directed to dispose of the protest petition filed by the complainant-petitioner in accordance with law, expeditiously.

A copy of this order be sent to the court concerned, through District and Sessions Judge, Kapurthala, for information and compliance.
