The present petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for quashing of FIR No.27 dated 27.12.2018 registered under Sections 498-A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 at Police Station Women, District SAS Nagar (Mohali), and all subsequent proceedings arising out of the said FIR, on the basis of compromise dated 19.03.2019 (Annexure P-1).

On 12.04.2019 the parties were directed to get their statements recorded. As per report dated 24.05.2019 received from the Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, SAS Nagar (Mohali), the complainant got her statement recorded to the effect that she would have no objection to quashing of the FIR subject to payment of balance amount of Rs.3,00,000/- and transfer of house at GTB Nagar, Bhamia Kalan, Ludhiana in her name. Thereafter, on JITENDER KUMAR 2023.08.31 10:08 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment.

CRM-M No.17145 of 2019 -22023:PHHC:113533 13.11.2019 none appeared on behalf of the petitioner. The case was listed on 09.09.2022 and the same was adjourned on the request of counsel for the petitioner. On 17.11.2022, again, none appeared on behalf of the petitioner. On 06.12.2022, yet again, none appeared on behalf of the petitioner or respondent No.2. The Registry was directed to intimate the parties as well as their counsel of the next date of hearing. Despite that, none appeared on 22.03.2023. Today also none has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioner as well as for respondent No.2. It appears that the petitioner is not interested in pursuing the present petition.

Dismissed for non-prosecution. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
