Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that due to dispute over the possession and use of the funds of Kali Mata Mandir, Dam Road, Talwara, Tehsil Mukerian, District Hoshiarpur, respondent No.5 in connivance with police is posing threat to the life and liberty of petitioner regarding which he has made several representations to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur. Without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.3 to look into the representation (Annexure P-8) made by petitioner, verify the allegations and take appropriate action in accordance with law on receipt of copies of this order and representation in his office.

However, it is made clear that the above order will not be interpreted to provide protection to the petitioner from any legal action to be taken in any civil, criminal or any other proceedings initiated against him in accordance with law.
