(Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that FIR No.148 dated 20.6.2022, Police Station Canal Colony, Bathinda, under Sections 384 and 506 IPC (Annexure P-1) was lodged against respondent No.5 at the instance of the petitioner. However, respondent No.5 is now threatening the petitioner to compromise the matter failing which he would post the photographs of petitioner on social media. Learned counsel submits that although representation dated 28.2.2023 (Annexure P-3) has been made to Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda, but to no avail.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, and without commenting anything as regards the merits of the assertions made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda, to get the representation dated 28.2.2023 (Annexure P-3) examined qua the limited extent of the alleged threat perception of the petitioner. In case, it is found that there is PANKAJ KAKKAR 2023.04.

CRWP-3681-2023 (O&M) - 2 - 2023:PHHC:054488 genuine threat to life and liberty of the petitioner, then necessary steps warranted under law be taken thereupon.
