***** JASJIT SINGH BEDI, J. (Oral) The petitioner seeks the grant of anticipatory bail under Section 438 Cr.P.C. in a case bearing FIR No.35 dated 09.03.2022 under Sections 306 IPC registered with Police Station Sadar Patiala, District Patiala. The learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Surinder Singh, submits that the though the petitioner has joined the investigation in terms of the order dated 12.05.2022, but she is required for custodial interrogation. On a query, he is unable to justify as to why the petitioner is required for custodial interrogation.

In view of the above, interim order dated 12.05.2022 is made absolute.

However, the petitioner shall keep on joining the investigation as and when required to do so and she shall abide by the conditions as envisaged under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.

The petition stands disposed of.
