The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of a direction for constitution of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by an officer of the rank of DSP/SP from a district outside Yamuna Nagar, so that the matter pertaining to FIR No.0127 dated 19.6.2020 registered at Police Station Chhapar, District Yamunanagar under Sections 323, 324, 506 and 34 of Indian Penal Code is got investigated fairly. 2.

At this stage, Ms. Sheenu Sura, DAG, Haryana, upon whom an advance copy of petition had already been served, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State.

Learned State counsel has informed that infact the investigation of the case already stands transferred to another police station pursuant to an application submitted by the petitioner.

In view of the aforestated position, this Court does not find any ground for issuance of any direction as prayed for.

Respondent No.2-Superintendent of Police, Yamunanagar, Haryana is, however, directed to ensure that the matter pertaining to FIR No.0127 dated 19.6.2020 is got investigated expeditiously in accordance with law, so that a final report is submitted thereafter at the earliest. Needless to mention, necessary steps shall be taken as may be warranted under facts and circumstances of the case or the fact which surfaces during investigation of the case.
