ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN J. (Oral) Prayer in this petition is for issuance of directions to respondents No.1 and 2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondent No.3. It is further prayed that in case respondents No.2 and 3 requires the presence of the petitioner for investigation, a direction be issued for serving a notice under Section 160 Cr.P.C.

Counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI Madan lal, submits that the petitioner is involved in one FIR i.e. FIR No.179 dated 03.10.2016 under Sections 323, 336, 506, 148, 149 IPC and 25/54/59 of the Arms Act at Police Station 'C' Division Amritsar, District Amritsar in which he has already been granted anticipatory bail vide order dated 16.03.2017. It is further submitted that the petitioner is not required in the investigation of any other case and in case, he is to be summoned for the purpose of investigation, he will be given an advance notice for appearing before the Investigating Officer.
