**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL , J. (ORAL) Case is taken up for hearing through video conferencing. CRM-25543-2020 This is an application under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for placing on record the medical documents of the injured as Annexures P-3 to P-6. Learned State counsel has no objection in case the present application is allowed.

The application is allowed as prayed for. Annexures P-3 to P-6 are taken on record.

CRM-M-17781-2020 The petitioner seeks regular bail in FIR No. 29 dated 14.4.2020 under Sections 307, 323, 506 IPC registered at Police Station GRP Chandigarh, District GRP Ambala Cantt.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the complainant GURPREET SINGH 2020.11.11 17:33 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chadigarh was taken to Civil Hospital, Sector-6, Panchkula for treatment, in the

CRM-M No. 17781 of 2020 (O&M) -2official gypsy, from where he was referred to GMCH, Sector-32, Chandigarh and he was discharged on the same day whereas while referring the petitioner to GMCH, Sector-32, 'depressed fracture' has been shown on the emergency report of Civil Hospital, Sector-6, Panchkula. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner is also a Sub Inspector and has been in custody since 18.4.2020.

Learned State counsel submits that there are three injuries on the person of the complainant with the backside of the axe and out of said three injuries, the injury inflicted on the head, has been declared grievous in nature.

I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned State counsel.

The petitioner has been in custody since 18.4.2020. Both the petitioner as well as the complainant are colleagues in the same department. Moreover, the complainant was referred by General Hospital, Sector-6, Panchkula to GMCH, Sector-32, Chandigarh, from where he was discharged on the same day. The trial will take time to conclude because of COVID-19 pandemic. No useful purpose would be served by keeping the petitioner behind the bars.

Without commenting anything on the merits of the case, the petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing bail/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate.
