This is a petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for protection of life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondent No.4.

It has been contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that respondent No.4, who is the youngest son of the petitioner, has been harassing him and creating hurdles. Learned counsel for the petitioner has referred to various incidents in the petition, where respondent No.4 is stated to have inflicted injuries to the petitioner. The petitioner has sent a representation dated 26.06.2020 (Annexure P-1) to respondent No.2 for providing adequate security. However, no action has been taken till date. Notice of motion.

Chandigarh, has put in appearance on behalf of U.T. Chandigarh through video conferencing and states that copy of the petition has been supplied to him today morning only and as such, he does not have instructions. Learned counsel for the petitioner has candidly admitted that petition under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, has not been filed by the petitioner till date. Heard learned counsel for the parties.

Keeping in view the fact that the representation dated 26.06.2020 (Annexure P-1) has already been submitted by the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Chandigarh, Sector - 9, Chandigarh, to consider the representation dated 26.06.2020 (Annexure P-1) and take necessary action as per law.
