Through this petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C., petitionerRomeo Williams Sampson, has prayed for grant of regular bail in case Crime No. 41, dated 24.06.2017 registered under Section 20 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Narcotic Control Bureau, Chandigarh. 2.

Learned counsel inter alia contends that the petitioner is in custody since 24.06.2017. The conclusion of trial shall take a long time. No useful purpose would be served by detaining the petitioner in jail. 3.

On the other hand, learned counsel for respondent-NCB vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of regular bail to the petitioner and submits that the complaint has already been filed against the petitioner. 4.

I have given anxious consideration to the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties.

Considering the overall circumstances of the case and the fact that the alleged recovery of 1 Kg 10 grams of charas from the petitioner Rishu Kataria 2017.12.11 18:23 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
