The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to provide him an adequate security for the protection of his life and liberty. 2.

As per petitioner, he is serving as State Vice President Srimoni Akali Dal (SAD) of Punjab. He has served as District President of SAD for District Gurdaspur. He is a prominent leader of Party's Youth Wing. He received threat in 2024 along with five more persons. He reported the matter to Police authorities. He was provided two police officials as security guard. The security was withdrawn on 08.03.2024. SSP Batala analyzed threat perception and found that threat perception to petitioner is very high. Special Director General of Police, Security vide letter dated 16.08.2025 addressed to SSP asked to provide proper information. He filed detailed representation on 09.03.2026 but to no avail.
