Rajan Gupta, J (Oral) This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C seeking quashing of FIR No.33 dated 3.3.2014 registered under Sections 420 IPC and 7/11 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 at Police Station, Kotwali Kapurthala, District Kapurthala on the basis of compromise. This court is of the considered view that offence under the Prevention of Corruption Act can not be quashed on the basis of compromise. Besides in the instant case, counsel for the complainant has put in appearance and has denied the factum of compromise. In view of above, this petition is hereby dismissed.
