**** JAGMOHAN BANSAL , J. (Oral) The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking directions to the official respondents to protect her life and liberty from the hands of private respondents. Learned counsel for the petitioners inter alia contends that the petitioner being 22 years old is major. The parents of the petitioner had forcefully solemnised marriage of the petitioner with respondent No.6 on 12.03.2023. The respondent No.6 forcefully attempted to consummate the marriage. The petitioner managed to escape from her matrimonial home on 11.04.2023 and at present, she is staying with his one friend Hardeep Singh. She apprehends that private respondents may cause danger to her life. She has filed a representation dated 12.04.2023 to SSP, Sangrur. Notice of motion.

Mr. Amish Sharma, Asstt. A.G., Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 3-State and submits that jurisdictional authority would look into the representation of the petitioner and do the needful.
