ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN J. (Oral) Prayer in this writ petition is for issuance of directions to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and his family members, at the instance of the private respondents. Counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has given a representation to the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, against the private respondents with regard to the alleged cheating of some amount. It is further submitted that he may be satisfied if a direction is issued to the official respondents to decide the representation filed by the petitioner.

Counsel for the State has submitted that the representation will be decided, after conducting a preliminary enquiry, it being a money dispute.

Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of and the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, is directed to conclude the enquiry within a period of 03 months from today, after affording the opportunity of hearing to both the parties.
