ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

Perused contents of the petition along with Annexures thereof. It is stated that petitioners are major and of marriageable age as per Hindu Marriage Act. It is the third marriage of petitioner No.2, who is stated to have dissolved his earlier two marriages in accordance with law as per Divorce Decrees dated 21.12.2012 and 28.08.2018, respectively. It is the first marriage of petitioner No.1 as she has not been either previously married or divorced. Petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 i.e. Senior Superintendent of Police, Punjab Police Sector 76, S.A.S. Nagar, Mohali that the contents of the representation dated 25.05.2021 (Annexure P-5) seeking protection of life and liberty be duly verified. If necessary, requisite steps be taken in accordance with law for grant of protection of life and liberty to the petitioners. It is clarified that this order shall neither be treated as a stamp of this Court qua marriage of the petitioners nor any reflection on the merits of the contentions raised by them in the present petition.

Present petition stands disposed of.
