The appellant herein is the electricity supply company. The dispute is with regard to payment of electricity consumption charges of the electricity connections which were previously in the name of the plaintiff's mother and cousin. Those two connections were for supply of electricity to the domestic units. The respondent applied for and was sanctioned a new commercial electricity connection. Since there was a default in payment of the electricity dues relating to connection in the name of plaintiff's mother and cousin, hence, the plaintiff was called upon to pay the amount. The plaintiff's suit was dismissed by the Trial Court, whereas the First Appellate Court has reversed the same. The total amount due is approximately ₹36,000/-.

It is the case of the appellant that the entire property has fallen to the share of the plaintiff. Hence, he is liable to clear the electricity dues of various co-owners. The learned counsel representing the respondent prays for a short accommodation to get complete instructions before assisting the Court.
