(proceedings conducted through video conferencing) ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The petitioners have approached this Court seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.2 to 4 to protect their life and liberty as they apprehend threat to the same at the hands of respondents No.5 to 11. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioners. The matter apparently seems to have arisen out of some matrimonial discord between petitioner No.1-Charanjit Kaur and her husband i.e. respondent No.5-Chand Singh.

Mr. V.G. Jauhar, Sr. DAG, Punjab, upon whom and advance copy of the petition had already been served, has informed that the matter pertaining to representation dated 7.5.2021 (Annexure P-8) is being inquired into by Superintendent of Police, Malerkotla, District Sangrur. A copy of this order alongwith copy of representation dated 7.5.2021 (Annexure P-8) be conveyed to respondent No.3-Superintendent of Police, Malerkotla, District Sangrur for necessary compliance.
