Prayer in this petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.98 dated 06.09.2016 under Sections 406/498A IPC registered at Police Station Women Cell, Ludhiana, District Ludhiana. This matter was placed before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court to explore the possibility of an amicable resolution of the dispute. The parties have arrived at an amicable settlement on 16.02.2017. The terms and conditions reduced into writing are attached with this file. The parties have decided to part ways. CRM No.M-36232 of 2016 [2] petitioner that petition under Section 13B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 has been filed. Statements of the parties at first motion have since been recorded. Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI Gurdev Singh, affirms the factum of settlement between the parties. It is further verified that the petitioner has joined investigation and he is no longer required for custodial interrogation. No recovery is to be effected from him. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances as above but without commenting upon or expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition is allowed. Consequently, order dated 06.10.2016 is made absolute. ( LISA GILL ) March 24 , 2017.
