Hon'ble Mr. Justice Inderjit Singh .....

Mr. N.K. Verma, Advocate for the petitioner.

The petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.112 dated 09.07.2018 registered for the offences under Sections 420 and 406 IPC and Section 12 of Passports Act, 1967 at Police Station Gobindgarh Mandi, District Fatehgarh Sahib.
I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.
In the preset case, the FIR has been registered on the statement of Gurmeet Singh, who mainly stated that the present petitioner took `10,50,000/- for sending his son Gurjant Singh to abroad. The total amount settled was `28 lakhs. The complainant's son was taken to Thailand and a forged red passport was given to him and he was directed to show that HARPAL SINGH PARMAR 2018.08.27 10:30 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh
Cr. Misc. No.M-36346 of 2018 (O&M) [2] passport to the Thailand authorities, but the son of the complainant was arrested there. Due inquiry has also been conducted in this case. Keeping in view the serious allegations against the present petitioner and in view of the fact that he is required for custodial interrogation, I do not find it a fit case where the petitioner is entitled for the grant of anticipatory bail.
Therefore, finding no merit in this petition, the same is dismissed.
