SUVIR SEHGAL, J. (Oral) The Court has been convened through video conferencing due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Through the instant petition, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR No.71 dated 23.06.2020 registered under Sections 341, 324, 323, 427, 506, 148 and 149 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (Sections 325, 326 IPC were added later on), at Police Station Dorangala, District Gurdaspur. In compliance of the order dated 28.07.2020, status report by way of affidavit dated 14.08.2020 of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Dinanagar, District Gurdaspur has been filed on behalf of the respondentState. Same is taken on record. A copy thereof, has been supplied to the counsel representing the parties.

CRM-M-18124 of 2020 {2} Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Bhupinder Singh submits that the petitioner has joined investigation and is no longer required for custodial interrogation.

In view of the above facts, but without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and the order dated 09.07.2020 granting interim bail to the petitioner is made absolute, subject to the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
