This matter is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing due to the outbreak of pandemic, COVID-19. Prayer in this writ petition is for directing respondent No. 2 to conduct interview of the petitioner, who claims to be fully eligible for appointment to the post of PGT (Computer Science), as per advertisement dated 05.07.2015. It is submitted that petitioner cleared the written examination and appeared for scrutiny of the documents, yet she was not called for interview whereas similar situated candidates were called for interview and few of them were short listed for final selection.

Learned counsel for the State, on the last date of hearing had pointed out that even if the petitioner had been called for interview and awarded full marks in the interview i.e. 24 marks, she would have secured 96 marks only RITU SHARMA 2022.03.21 12:17 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-14412-2021 (O&M) -2i.e. 72 marks in written examination and 24 in interview, which are less than the marks secured by the last selected candidate in S.C. category, that is 100 marks. 99 marks are stated to have been secured by the candidate in the waiting list of S.C. category. Matter was adjourned as there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner is unable to deny that in view of the abovesaid, no ground is made out for continuance of the present proceedings.
