This petition has been filed by the petitioner for directions to the respondents to release the detenues mentioned in para No.4 of the petition, and further to set them free from the illegal bondage of respondents No.4 to 6.

The learned counsel representing the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed the representation dated 21.03.2026 (Annexure P1) before the respondent No.2. It has been contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is given to the District Magistrate, Sonipat (respondent No.2) to decide the abovementioned representation and take appropriate action under the Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act, 1976.

Since advance notice has already been served upon the State, Mr. Sunny Namdev, Assistant Advocate General, Haryana accepts notice on behalf of the respondents No.1 to 4. Hence, service of notice upon the respondents No.1 to 4 is hereby dispensed with. 5.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the present petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate concerned to decide the representation of the petitioner (Annexure P1) by passing a speaking order as early as possible but in no case beyond the period of one week from the date of receipt of copy of instant order. The copy of that order be supplied to the petitioner.
