RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. has been made for grant of regular bail to petitioners - Ravi alias Kamal and Tejender Singh alias Ruby - in a case arising from FIR No.329 dated 17.08.2017 under Section 21 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act registered at Police Station Butana, District Karnal. According to the prosecution, 7.8 grams of smack was recovered from both the petitioners together, which is marginally above the small quantity.

Learned counsel for the petitioners inter alia contends that the petitioners are in custody since 17.08.2017. The conclusion of trial shall take long time. No useful purpose would be served by detaining the petitioners in jail.
