With the able assistance of learned State counsel, this Bench has gone through the writ petition. The petitioner who is a elected Sarpanch, has been placed under suspension vide an order dated 19.04.2021 passed by the Director, Rural Development and Panchayat Department. The petitioner has also assailed the correctness of order by which Administrator has been appointed.

The order of suspending the petitioner passed by the Director is appealable under Section 20(6) of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994. The Administrator has been appointed, therefore, which is in consequence ASHOK KUMAR 2021.09.14 10:34 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
