The petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.119 dated 12.11.2017 registered for the offences under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 and 406 IPC at Police Station Talwandi Chaudhrian, District Kapurthala. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.

From the record, I find that as per the FIR, the present petitioner has mortgaged the land measuring 43 Kanals 16 Marlas and obtained the limit to the tune of `20 Lakhs from ADB Kalyanpur Branch of State Bank of India, District Jalandhar. There are allegations that he has got prepared fake clearance certificate by the Bank and submitted the same to the Revenue Department and the land was discharged on 23.12.2015. Cr. Misc. No.M-36679 of 2018 [2] further sold land measuring 26 Kanals 7 Marlas to Gurpreet Kaur and further he again obtained loan of `25 Lakhs on the remaining land. Keeping in view the serious allegations against the present petitioner, I find that the petitioner is required for custodial interrogation, therefore, I do not find it a fit case where the petitioner is entitled for the grant of anticipatory bail.

Therefore, finding no merit in this petition, the same is dismissed.
