This is a petition filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. seeking regular bail in a case registered against the petitioner vide FIR No. 67 dated 26.05.2015 under Sections 21/22/61/85 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Balachaur, district SBS Nagar. Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Satnam Singh, who is present in court, submits that out of seven witnesses cited by the prosecution, four have been examined. Only three official witnesses remained to be examined. According to him, prosecution shall not delay the matter in any manner. In view of above, no case for enlarging the petitioner on bail is made out as the trial is at its fag end. Dismissed. Petitioner shall, however, be at liberty to file afresh in case trial does not conclude within a period of two months.
