(ORAL) The petitioner, through the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is seeking direction to official respondents to take legal action against respondent No. 4 in FIR No. 0118 dated 28.12.2021, under Sections 354/363 IPC (Sections 376/511 IPC added later on vide Rapat No. 29 dated 28.3.2023), registered at Police Station, Mallanwala, District Ferozepur.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that FIR was registered on 28.12.2021 and till date accused has not been arrested.

Learned State counsel, who on advance notice is present in Court, submits that respondent No. 4 has already been declared proclaimed offender and investigating officer is trying his best to arrest the accused. Without commenting upon merits of the case, the investigating officer is directed to look into grievance of the petitioner and take the investigation to a logical end. The petitioner is at liberty to disclose whereabouts of respondent No. 4 to the investigating officer and in case petitioner brings into knowledge of the investigating officer whereabouts of the alleged accused, this Court is sanguine of the fact that investigating officer would take appropriate steps including arrest of the accused.

Disposed of.
