This is a contempt petition filed under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, for punishing the respondents for disobeying the order dated 05.09.2023 passed in CWP-19663-2023. 2.

Counsel for the respondents submits that the order dated 05.09.2023 passed in CWP-19663-2023 has been complied with as the amount in question has already been deposited with the office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E), Punjab. Copy of compliance report by way of affidavit of Jaswinder Singh Chahal, Chief Engineer (South) Water Supply & Sanitation Department, Patiala to that effect, has been produced by counsel for the respondents in the Court today. The same is taken on record. Registry is directed to scan and tag it at an appropriate place.

Counsel for the petitioner has not even disputed the aforesaid fact.

In view of the above, the present petition is rendered infructuous and dismissed, as such.
