Petitioners claim that they have attained majority and married against the wishes of their family members. Apprehending threat to their life and liberty, they have filed this petition for protection.

Notice of motion to the Advocate General, Punjab. On asking of the Court, notice has been accepted by Ms.H.K.Athwal, DAG., Punjab, present in the the Court. Copy given.

The petitioners have already submitted a representation Annexure P5 dated 14.10.2015, to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur.

The facts pleaded show that it is a case of run away marriage. The matter appears to be covered by the judgment in Pardeep Kumar Singh Vs.State of Haryana, 2008 (3) RCR (Crl.)

CRM-M-35924-2015 (O&M) 376.

This petition is disposed of with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur, to look into the representation Annexure P5 dated 14.10.2015 and that the petitioners will not be forcibly taken in custody by any of the respondents on the allegation that petitioner No.1 has been kidnapped or abducted by petitioner No.2.
