Learned senior counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners states that the petitioners would be satisfied if a direction is issued to respondent No.5-Gram Panchayat for deciding the application (Annexure P9) filed by the petitioners in their individual capacity for regularization of the unauthorized houses constructed on the land which is owned by respondent No.5-Gram Panchayat.

Learned counsel for respondents No.1 to 4 and learned counsel for respondent No.5 state that they have no objection if the present writ petition is allowed to the limited extent that respondent No.5-Gram Panchayat is directed to decide the application (Annexure P-9) in a time bound manner. In view of the limited prayer made, the present writ petition is disposed off, without commenting on the merits of the case, with a direction to respondent No.5-Gram Panchayat to dispose off the application (Annexure P-9) which has been filed by the petitioners within a period of four weeks from today, in accordance with law.

Learned counsel for respondents No.1 to 4 and learned counsel for respondent No.5 have assured the Court that till such time the application (Annexure P-9) is not decided, the possession of the petitioners shall not be disturbed.
