The petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of BNSS, 2023, seeking directions for recovery of licensed weapon without seizure memo lying in unauthorised and illegal custody of the respondent police officials and for enquiry into gross misconduct of the concerned police official of Police Station Phase-11, SAS Nagar (Mohali).

Learned counsel for the petitioner, in view of short reply dated 4.5.2026, filed by the State, submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the petition in hand for the present.

Dismissed as withdrawn, for the nonce.
