The present petition has been preferred by the petitioners under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for quashing of FIR No.106, dated 11.08.2014, registered under Sections 365, 420, 406, 354 & 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act, at Police Station Division No.5, Jalandhar City and all the proceedings arising thereupon.

Vide order dated 19.02.2018, the trial Court was directed to adjourn the matter beyond the date given by this Court. Till date that interim order is continuing.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Ranjit Singh, submits that the challan in the present case was filed on 26.03.2015 and charges were framed on 06.03.2018. He further submits that out of total 13 prosecution witnesses, 01 stands examined. Since the trial is already going on, learned Court below has already taken cognizance; charges have been framed and one witness has also been examined, therefore, this Court, at this stage, does not deem it appropriate to interfere in the proceedings pending before the trial Court. 5.

In view of the above, the present petition is dismissed. 6.
