At the very outset, learned counsel for the appellant submits that the appellant had challenged the election of respondent No.1 as Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat, held on 17.01.2016, by way of election petition under the Haryana Panchayati Raj Act, 1994. It is submitted that by efflux of time, the present appeal has been rendered infructuous. Accordingly, he prays for withdrawal of the same. 2.
