Vide order dated 15.2.2016, a Co-ordinate Bench of this court while dismissing the petition for regular bail had directed the conclusion of trial within a period of three months, with a direction to Superintendent of Police concerned to ensure the conclusion of prosecution evidence within a period of two months after the date of the order. The trial was required to be concluded by April, 2016 as per the said order. It has been informed by counsel for the petitioner that till date two witnesses out of 12 prosecution witnesses, stand examined. State counsel, on the instructions of ASI Sandeep Kumar, informs that only four witnesses remain to be examined. Be that as it may, the petitioner, who is a lady, being in custody since 16.10.2015, after receipt of report of FSL, can be granted the concession of bail as there is no information with the State counsel regarding petitioner being involved in any other criminal case. The petition is allowed. The petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on her furnishing bail bonds/ surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial court.
