On instructions from SI Jaspal Singh, Police Station Bhikhiwind, statement has been made on behalf of the State that the girl has been kept by one Ranjit Singh son of Kali Das resident of Mandi in the State of Himachal Pradesh and that they had moved the concerned SSP for monitoring the call details of his mother as they were having leads that the man was in contact with his mother but the SSP, Mandi (HP) has declined to do the needful and has rather refused to monitor the calls made by the mobile phones of the mother and the son and has shown his helplessness into the matter.  further submitted that no further leads could be secured due to the apathy of the Himachal Pradesh police.

On the asking of learned counsel for the petitioner, the police official has provided the mobile numbers and addresses available with him pertaining to Ranjit Singh above said. Faced with this situation, learned counsel for the petitioner has made a statement before this Court withdrawing the present petition reserving rights of the petitioner to move an appropriate forum for securing the ends of justice.

Allowed to do so.

The petition stands dismissed as withdrawn with liberty aforesaid.
