Manhas, Advocate for respondents no. 4 to 15. *** This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. filed by petitioners Ravinder Singh Chauhan and Sunita Rani for directing respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hand of respondents no. 3 to 15 and issuing further direction to respondents no. 2 and 3 to add Section 354 IPC in F.I.R. No. 80 dated 5.9.2017 for offences under Sections 324, 323, 506, 148, 149 IPC registered with Police Station Shahpur Kandi, District Pathankot.

This petition is being opposed by the counsel representing private respondents stating that no ground to add such Section is made out. During the course of arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner has confined her prayer for issuance of a direction to the official respondents to Parvinder Singh 2018.05.09 16:40 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CRM-M No. 36342 of 2017 add Section 354 IPC stating that the CCTV footage and other evidence available points out towards commission of such offence by Amandeep Singh, whereas, learned counsel for the private respondents strongly controverts this contention. It is a matter of investigation as to whether such offences are disclosed or not.

Under the circumstances, this petition is disposed of directing Senior Superintendent of Police, District Pathanakot to get the matter examined through the investigating officer so as to find out as to whether offence under Section 354 IPC is disclosed and if it is so that may be added in the F.I.R. and if no material is found to be there then request may be declined.
