IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB & HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH

CRM-M-37353-2018 Date of decision: 13.05.2019 Jatinder Singh ..... Appellant

Versus

State of Punjab and others ..... Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAMENDRA JAIN PRESENT: None for the petitioner.

Mr. Hittan Nehra, Addl. AG, Punjab.

RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Learned State counsel submits that the instant petition has rendered infructuous, in view the fact that matter has been compromised in between the parties.

Despite the case having been called twice, the petitioner has gone un-represented.

Perusal of file shows that on the previous two dates also i.e. 02.11.2018 and 08.02.2019, the petitioner had gone un-represented. Therefore, it can safely be presumed that neither the petitioner, nor his counsel is interested in pursuing the instant petition. Consequently, the instant petition is dismissed on following two counts:

(i) as having been rendered infructuous; and (ii) for want of prosecution.
