**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J.(Oral) Petitioners have preferred this writ petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction especially in the nature of certiorari and/or mandamus directing respondent No.1 to extend the contractual service of the petitioners for further period on the same terms and conditions on which petitioners were working till March 2018.
Admittedly, the contractual agreement was not extended after 31.03.2018. Petitioners were working on the MOHMED ATIK 2021.12.15 18:06 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CWP-20827-2021 posts of Data Entry Operators/Scanner Operators on contractual basis at DC Rates in the High Court till March 2018. Respondent No.2 has been assigned the aforesaid job by employing its employees through outsourcing mechanism. Respondent No.2 has been providing employees to manage the aforesaid posts. In the facts and circumstances of the case, respondent No.1 cannot be asked to adopt a particular mode of appointment that too on contractual basis.
At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners be considered for appointment on the aforesaid posts after expiry of contract between respondent No.1 and respondent No.2 in future.
No such contingent direction can be made at this stage. Petitioners would be at liberty to take appropriate steps at the relevant time in accordance with law.
