This is a petition under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 for initiation of proceedings against the respondents for non-compliance of the order dated 21.10.2024 passed in CWP-28353-2024. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that in CWP No.28353 of 2024, which was disposed off vide order dated 21.10.2024, the Secretary, Revenue-cum-Claims Commissioner, Punjab was directed to pass a speaking order within a period of three months. It is further the contention of the learned counsel that though a speaking order has been passed on 21.01.2025 (Annexure P-3), however, the petitioner has been asked to file his claim for initiation of a sale certificate before the Competent Authority designated under the Punjab Package Deal Properties (Disposal) Act, 1976. It is further the contention of the learned counsel that despite the application having been filed before the Competent Authority i.e. Tehsildar, Balachaur on 05.02.2025, no action has been taken till date. Mr. Pawan Kumar, DAG Punjab, who is present in Court, puts in appearance on behalf of the respondents and on instructions from Jaspreet Singh, Naib Tehsildar (Sales), Balachaur, states that the matter is pending before the Tehsildar who shall positively take a decision on the same within a period of four weeks from today.

In view of the statement made by the learned State counsel, the learned counsel for the petitioner states that he does not wish to press the present petition at this stage.

Dismissed as not pressed at this stage. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
