***** AMAN CHAUDHARY, J. (ORAL) 1.
Prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to grant ACT step up at the stage of completion of 24 years of service in terms of para 14 of the letter dated 25.09.1998.
2.
In the index of the petition, reliance is placed on pendency of CWP5120-2003 titled as Tara Chand Ratra and Another vs. State of Punjab and Others, which during pendency of the present petition stands disposed of on 09.09.2008, being covered by the judgment in the case of Shashi Kiran vs. State of Punjab and Others, CWP-7642-2001, decided on 28.11.2002 and Varinder Pal vs. The State of Punjab, CWP-6135-2003, decided on 05.07.2005. 3.
The aforesaid facts having been brought out, during the course of hearing, learned State counsel, on instructions, states that the respondents would not be averse to have a relook at the matter and decided afresh, expeditiously, in accordance with law, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner.
