Prayer in this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for quashing of FIR No.05 dated 19.03.2015 under Sections 427, 447, 511 and 120-B of the IPC, registered at Police Station, NRI PS, District Ludhiana City.

Learned State counsel has, at the outset, on instructions from SI Kulwinder Kumar, informed the Court that the defence evidence was recorded way-back on 19.12.2022. However ever since then, the trial has not been able to proceed on account of an interim order passed by this Court on 05.02.2018 wherein a Coordinate Bench of this Court had stayed the passing of final order.

As per the office report, service upon the respondents has till date not been effected.

Be that as it may, since the entire evidence stands presented before the trial Court, no ground is made out to accept the prayer of the petitioner for quashing of the FIR in question. 6.
