Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that FIR No.123 dated 04.08.2018 has been registered at Police Station Islamabad, Amritsar against the petitioner and other persons and police is raiding the house of petitioner and harassing them in this case. He has confined the relief claimed in this petition for direction to Commissioner of Police, Amritsar not to call petitioner and his family members to the Police Station or to harass them.

Without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Commissioner of Police, Amritsar that as and when petitioner or his family members as mentioned in petition are required to be called to the police station, they be given notice in writing.

However, it is made clear that the above order will not be interpreted as providing protection to the petitioner or his family members from legal action taken in any civil, criminal or other proceedings initiated/pending against them in accordance with law.
