Petitioner Satsimran Singh Ghuman, Assistant Director, Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Chandigarh, has filed a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing of impugned order dated 30.4.2020 Annexure P-7 qua the petitioner in view of the final seniority list dated 21.5.2020 Annexure P-9, whereby his old seniority as Food and Supplies Officer has been retained and consequently immediately restoring his regular promotion as Assistant Director ordered vide order dated 30.3.2020 BANITA CHUGH 2020.07.13 02:36 I am the author of this document

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case, it would be proper and appropriate, if the matter is dealt with at the departmental level first, to avoid unnecessary litigation. Therefore, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner Annexure P-11 within a period of four weeks from today, in accordance with law, by passing a speaking order.
