The Assistant Director, Department of Rural Development and Panchayats, Punjab, is present in person and states that the department is in the process of collecting service book of the petitioner and the detail from various places where the petitioner remained posted and that in view thereof, the petitioner could not have been given his due ACP benefit within time. He assures the Court that if there is no impediment, the ACP benefit will be given to the petitioner.

The Assistant Director also informs the Court that as per his knowledge there are some FIRs registered against the petitioner. 3.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has no information and has no instructions from his client and the said information seems to have been withheld not only from the Court but also from his counsel. 4.
If there are criminal cases registered against the petitioner, there is no occasion of releasing the ACP benefit to the petitioner. However, it is RAJESH KUMAR 2023.10.13 16:14 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment. Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh.

the duty of the State Authorities to complete the service book and if decision has already been taken in the criminal cases acquitting the petitioner, the benefit of ACP shall be released to the petitioner. 5.
